This video sums up in about 90 seconds what some amazing documentaries cover in much more detail. Those documentaries, if you’re interested, are:
- Forks Over Knives
- Fed Up
- Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead
- Food, Inc.
- Food Matters
There are many more, but these are some of the most impactful films that started our family on this clean-eating journey. We follow Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s clean-eating philosophy outlined in his book Eat to Live, leverage essential oils and chiropractic care, and have adopted other natural/chemical-free approaches like home birth and the FAM model of birth control.
For us, it’s not about living in fear of disease; it’s about quality of life. We have a child with autism. We have a child with asthma. We have our own health issues. But take those away, and we’re a family, just like every other family, trying to make the best decisions to have the best possible life. No, it’s not for everyone. But I can tell you that we sleep better, breathe better, feel better, have clearer skin, better moods, and better sex (I know, I had to go there- it’s the truth), all in response to changing what we eat.
Ignorance isn’t bliss friends, I promise. We don’t have to take everything the world hands to us- sometimes we can throw it back and get what we want. Here’s to seeking the truth and finding it, wherever that may be.
